Lap Pools
For Swimmers Who Mean It.
Want to swim laps at home without handing your whole backyard to a 25-metre pool? Our fibreglass lap pools give you a genuine swimming corridor in a footprint that fits real Sydney yards — and they can be built to a custom length to suit your block. Tough, low-maintenance, and backed by a lifetime structural warranty.
A Lap Pool That Actually Fits Your Backyard
A great lap pool is all about the swim — a long, unobstructed corridor with even depth so you can settle into a rhythm without touching the walls every few strokes. The challenge in Sydney is space: a full competition lane rarely fits a suburban block. That's where our narrow Fastlane lap pools come in, giving you real swimming length in a slim, efficient footprint.
And when a standard size won't quite work, both the Fastlane and the architectural Contemporary can be built to a custom length — a lap pool tailored to your exact block. Every lap pool we build is moulded on the Compass Ceramic Core, so you get a smooth, fast surface that resists algae and lasts — with the option to add self-cleaning so your lap pool is always ready to swim.
- True lap length — long, straight swimming corridors from 9m up, with even depth for an uninterrupted stroke.
- Narrow footprint — the slim Fastlane (just 2.78m wide) fits down the side of a house or along a boundary.
- Custom lengths — the Fastlane and Contemporary can be built to order, sized precisely to your backyard.
- Fast, smooth surface — the fibreglass gelcoat is kind to swimmers and easy to keep clean.
- Add a spa or lounge zone — recover after your laps with a spa or sun ledge built into the design.
Which Lap Pool Is Right for You?
Here's how we match Sydney swimmers to the right lap pool for their goals and their block.
Pure Laps
If swimming laps is the whole point, the Fastlane is purpose-built: a long, narrow corridor with even depth from end to end for a clean, uninterrupted stroke. It's the definitive lap pool.
Custom Contemporary
Want a lap pool tailored to your exact length and a sharper, architectural look? The Contemporary is built to order — a clean-lined custom lap pool sized precisely to your block.
Made to Measure
Not quite a standard size? The Fastlane is also available in a custom length, so we can stretch or trim the lap corridor to make the most of the space you have.

Lap Pool Questions — Answered
Everything Sydney swimmers ask us before choosing a lap pool.
How long should a lap pool be?
For comfortable lap swimming at home, aim for at least 10m — our Fastlane 10.3 and 12.3 are purpose-built for exactly this. If you want a specific length, both the Fastlane and the Contemporary can be built to a custom length to suit your block and your stroke.
Can I build a lap pool to a custom length?
Yes — it's one of the best reasons to choose us. The Fastlane comes in a custom-length option, and the architectural Contemporary is built to order, so we can size your lap pool precisely to the space you have.
Can a lap pool fit on a narrow block?
Yes. The Fastlane is just 2.78m wide, so it runs neatly down the side of a house or along a boundary — giving you a genuine lap corridor where a wider pool simply wouldn't fit.
Are fibreglass lap pools good for serious swimming?
Absolutely. The smooth gelcoat surface is fast and comfortable, depth is even end-to-end for an uninterrupted stroke, and the Ceramic Core construction is built to handle daily use for years.
How much maintenance does a lap pool need?
Less than you'd think. Fibreglass resists algae, and the optional Vantage self-cleaning system does most of the work — so your lap pool is ready whenever you want to swim.
What warranty comes with a lap pool?
Bi-Luminite lap pools come with a lifetime structural warranty (transferable up to 25 years), a 10-year enhanced cosmetic warranty, and world-exclusive protection against hydrostatic damage.
